Icons Series, a new concept in sport and entertainment, today announced that Hackensack Meridian Health, New Jersey’s largest and most comprehensive health network, will serve as the Official Health Care Provider of the Icons Series USA 2022 Golf Tournament.

During the event, which will be hosted at Liberty National Golf Club from June 30 to July 1, Hackensack Meridian Health will provide a dedicated medical team to attend to all participating global sporting icons’ healthcare needs, along with EMT services for all attendees.

The partnership will also see the introduction of a philanthropic initiative that involves “round-up” opportunities at all points of sale during the event, with all proceeds donated to Tackle Kids Cancer, a philanthropic initiative to raise money for pediatric cancer research and patient care programs.

The competition will bring together the world’s most iconic athletes across multiple sports and features a 10-hole team match-play tournament format with global sporting stars involved like never before.

The Team USA roster is led by World Golf Hall of Famer and captain Fred Couples, and features the most decorated Olympian of all-time, Michael Phelps, Pro Football Hall of Famer and Super Bowl champion Michael Strahan, two-time Super Bowl champion Ben Roethlisberger, Pro Football Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk, two-time NBA champion J.R. Smith, Major League Baseball Hall of Famers John Smoltz and Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez, 2022 Super Bowl champion Andrew Whitworth, and the Chicago Bears’ all-time franchise leading scorer, Robbie Gould.

The Team Rest of the World lineup is led by four-time Major champion and captain Ernie Els, former World No. 1, three-time Grand Slam winner Ash Barty, boxing’s pound-for-pound king Canelo Alvarez, two-time Champions League title winner and legendary Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, England National Team Captain and three-time Golden Boot winner, Harry Kane, Cricketer of the Decade 2000, Ricky Ponting, World Rugby Hall of Famer, George Gregan, one of the greatest cricketers of all time, AB de Villiers, Indian international cricketer Yuvraj Singh, three-time Premier League Winner, James Milner and one of the greatest batsmen of all time, international cricketer Brian Lara.

Team USA and Team World will announce additional Icons to the event lineup with 12 total icons per team participating.
