Icons Series today announced a true great of the NFL to join Team USA for the inaugural US event at the prestigious Liberty National Golf Club on June 30-July 1, 2022.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Andrew to the Icons Series lineup at Liberty National Golf Club this summer,” said Icons Series CEO, Thomas Brookes. “Andrew had an incredible career in the NFL and we can’t wait to watch him compete and elevate the Icons Series to new heights.”

Whitworth joins Team USA led by World Golf Hall of Famer and captain Fred Couples. He will play alongside the most decorated Olympian of all-time Michael Phelps, Pro Football Hall of Famer and Super Bowl champion Michael Strahan, two-time Super Bowl champion Ben Roethlisberger, and the most recent addition to the roster, two-time NBA champion and New Jersey native J.R. Smith.

Andrew Whitworth spent 15 years chasing his dream of becoming a Superbowl champion, fulfilling it in his final ever game on February 13th this year.

A giant on and off the field, Andrew was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals out of LSU as a second round pick in 2005 and spent 10 years in the Queen City before becoming a key signing for Sean McVay as the Rams looked to build a team capable of winning the Vince Lombardi trophy.

As well as his success on the field, he was also named as the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2021 recognising his philanthropic work off the field in benefitting numerous charities and community initiatives through his BIgWhit77 foundation.

Andrew Whitworth is the oldest tackle to start a game in the NFL and he’s the oldest offensive lineman to play in and win the Superbowl.

A 4 time pro bowler, we are delighted to welcome Andrew to the ICONS SERIES.

Tickets to the event are available here starting at $25.
