Hamit Altıntop (born 8 December 1982) is a Turkish former footballer known for his versatility, technical skill, and powerful long-range shooting. Capable of playing in midfield and defense, he enjoyed a successful career with clubs such as Schalke 04, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Galatasaray, winning multiple domestic titles, including two Bundesliga titles and a Super Lig championship. Altıntop was also recognized for his contributions to the Turkish national team, earning 82 caps and playing a key role in their run to the UEFA Euro 2008 semi-finals. Renowned for his work rate and tactical intelligence, he was named the winner of the 2010 FIFA Puskás Award for the best goal of the year.
