Phil Jones (born 21 February 1992) is an English former footballer known primarily as a defender. Jones began his career at Blackburn Rovers before joining Manchester United in 2011, where he spent over a decade. Renowned for his commitment, physicality and defensive tenacity, Jones was a key part of the squad during Sir Alex Ferguson’s final years, contributing to United’s 2012–13 Premier League title victory. Despite struggles with injuries, he made over 200 appearances for the club, winning additional honors including the FA Cup, EFL Cup, and UEFA Europa League. Internationally, Jones earned 27 caps for England, representing his country at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2012. His dedication and resilience defined his career at Old Trafford.
